Badges

To enter the exhibit halls you must have a convention badge. Review the following TMEA badge policy before attending convention.

Music Educators (including conductors/clinicians/professional musicians)
All music educators (public and private) must register for convention. Texas music educators/musicians must also be active TMEA members to complete registration. Members who pre-register online or by mail/fax will pick up their badge by name at the "Pre-registered" booths. If you do not pre-register, you will complete onsite registration and receive your badge after completing that process. Badge replacements are $5 each.

College Students
College music student convention registration is included in the college student membership cost. If your membership is active, your badge will be available by name at the "Pre-registered" booths. If you have not completed or renewed your membership prior to the pre-registration deadlines, you will receive your convention badge after completing/renewing your college membership through onsite registration.
Badge replacements are $5 each.

Family Attendees
Family members of registered attendees are welcome to attend at no cost as long as they are not also music educators, musicians, or college music students. Complimentary badges require the presence of both the registered member and their family member at the Family/Clinician/Visitor registration booth. No CPE credit will be given for individuals with family badges.

Non-Music Educator Attendees
Anyone who is not a musician or music educator can attend at the following rates:
Adults:
Single-day -- $80
Multi-day -- $120
High School Students -- $15 (Must present current school ID.
Attendance is not an excusable absence from school. Entry allowed only during non-school hours.)

Purchase daily visitor passes at the Family/Clinician/Visitor registration booth. No CPE credit will be given for individuals with visitor badges.
Badge replacements are $5 each.

Performing Group Members/Chaperones
Performing Group Directors will submit their members' and chaperones' names in advance. Performing group badges will be available as a single packet for pickup only by the performing group director after he/she has successfully completed registration. Performing group member badges are available at the Family/Clinician/Visitor booth.

Performing Group Parents
Parents of performing group members can attend their group's concert without a badge. However, entrance to the Exhibit Halls does require a badge. Before going to the exhibit halls, obtain your complimentary family badge at the registration area Family registration booth. TMEA encourages you to go through the exhibit halls to experience the latest products and services available. All-State parents click here for additional information.

Exhibitors
Refer to the online Exhibitor's Prospectus for details on obtaining badges.

Workshop Seating
Attendees who are not active members may be asked to relinquish their seat and handouts to active TMEA members at workshops with capacity attendance.
