Invited Performing Group Family
Congratulations on being a family member of a musician in a group that has been invited to perform at the TMEA Clinic/Convention. Before you go to San Antonio, review this important information that will help you have the best experience at our convention.

Questions?
For any questions about a student’s participation at our convention, first check with their director. They will have specific details about the performance time and any other details specific to your group’s travel and attendance.
Arriving
The TMEA convention is held at Henry B. González Convention Center, 900 E. Market Street, San Antonio. Arrive early to allow ample time for traffic, parking, and walking to the venue.
Convention Badges
Concert attendance does not require a badge. However, you should explore the amazing exhibit hall while in San Antonio, and this requires a convention badge. If your name is not submitted by the ensemble’s director as a designated chaperone (there are limited numbers allowed), you can purchase a $15 badge on site in the Convention Registration area at the Visitors booth (free for children 11 and under). Directors submit performer and chaperone names in advance, and the directors pick up those badges as a group.
Family Housing
TMEA is not able to block housing for parents who plan to attend. We suggest that you use any available online reservation system to locate housing.
Performance Recording Sales
Concert recordings of all performing groups (not music showcases) are produced by Mark Custom Recordings. After the convention, go to www.MarkCustom.com to order recordings. Representatives will also be on site for orders.
Convention Programs
Convention programs are a great convention keepsake! They are available for purchase ($5) at the convention center Information Booth and Visitors Booth. These programs include the full schedule of the convention, the repertoire for each concert ensemble, and many advertisements from colleges and universities on their audition dates and upcoming camps.
