Who Can Attend?
Music Educators
All music educators—whether you’re a conductor, private lesson instructor, professional musician, or college student member—are welcome to attend, including educators from public and private institutions, as well as those joining us from outside of Texas. Whether you’re looking to network, attend clinics, or explore new resources, this convention is for you!
Students
High school and middle school students are welcome to attend as visitors starting at 3 p.m. on Friday (unless they are TFME members or performers). Whether you’re part of an invited ensemble or attending with family, you’ll have the chance to explore the exhibit hall and enjoy captivating performances by top ensembles. Students must be accompanied by a guardian.
Family Members
Family members of registered attendees and performers are welcome to join the convention experience. Whether you’re supporting a student or attending with a music educator, our convention offers a chance to engage with the vibrant community of music education. Family badges are free for children 11 and under if present at registration.
Visitors
Visitors who are not music educators or musicians are also welcome to attend and experience the excitement our convention. While visitors do not receive professional development credits, you’ll have access to a variety of performances, the exhibit hall, and the opportunity to explore the latest in music education resources and products.
Register to Attend
TMEA members and out-of-state music attendees can register online in advance and purchase family badges as an add-on during registration. All other attendees, including family of performers, students, and visitors must purchase badges onsite.
Early registration ends January 16.

Held annually, the TMEA Clinic/Convention provides unparalleled opportunities for professional development for current and future music educators at every level and discipline. Each TMEA Division will host a diverse program of clinics to ensure every member has multiple offerings to foster their professional advancement and to help them in their personal support of all students through music education.
Rooted in our commitment to excellence in music education, our convention will include performances by ensembles at every grade level and will feature the rehearsals and performances of our TMEA All-State ensembles. Our convention exhibit hall is a key component of our event, as our partners in the music industry commit to offering competitive prices and services to all attendees. All aspects of our annual event will further TMEA’s commitment to music education for all and will abide by TMEA’s convention inclusivity pledge.
Photo release policy—By attending the 2025 Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) Clinic/Convention, you consent to being photographed, filmed, and/or recorded. These materials may be used by TMEA for promotional or informational purposes, across various media including web and social media. Your presence implies a waiver of any rights to payment, inspection, or approval of these uses and releases TMEA and its representatives from any related liability.
