College Exhibits

Held at the Henry B. González Convention Center in San Antonio, the TMEA Clinic/Convention attracts over 6,500  high school and college music students. Exhibit with TMEA to connect with top Texas music students, highlight your programs, and build lasting relationships with students and their families.

3-Day College Fair

$700 (one-booth limit per institution)

Maximize your visibility and make lasting connections at TMEA’s three-day College Fair, where your music program will be on display throughout all exhibit hours. This event offers your institution a valuable opportunity to reconnect with alumni, engage with current educators, meet prospective students and their parents, and network with future music educators. By exhibiting for the full three days, including College Night, your institution will enjoy maximum exposure and the chance to form meaningful relationships at one of the nation’s largest and most prestigious music education gatherings.

1-Day College Night

$250 (one-booth limit per institution)

Capitalize on this concentrated exposure during TMEA’s College Night, a dynamic three-hour event on Friday evening, where over 1,800 highschool All-State musicians and nearly 1,000 Texas Future Music Educators are encouraged to explore their next steps in music education. This exclusive event allows your institution to connect with top music students quickly and effectively, engaging future applicants and encouraging them to explore your school’s music offerings. College Night is the ideal platform to make immediate, impactful connections with the next generation of musicians.

College Exhibits Hours & Location

Located in Exhibit Hall 4, nearest Bridge Hall, all college booths are 10’ x 10’ corner booths arranged in islands for increased exposure. Each booth includes 8’ high back drapes, 36” high side dividers, one 8’ undraped table, two chairs, and a 7” x 44” sign with your school name, all provided at no additional charge.

College Exhibit Policies

Booth assignment will be based on date/time of completed application. Only one 10′ × 10′ booth is allowed per institution. No more than six persons should represent an exhibiting institution in the booth at the same time.

In addition, all institutions that participate in the College Exhibits must comply with the following policies.

Texas Institutions

Each Texas institution MUST become an Institutional Member of TMEA

  • This membership ($55 dues) will automatically be added to the booth application.

Texas Instructional Staff (whether you teach full-time or part-time)

  • All instructional staff must be a member of TMEA ($65 dues) and register for the convention ($70 early registration).
  • Pick up badges at member registration and request an exhibitor ribbon. You MUST have one for early and late access to the Exhibit Hall.

Texas Non-Instructional Staff (i.e. recruiter, admissions rep, registrar, etc.)

  • Up to three (3) complimentary badges are available for Non-Instructional Staff who participate in the College exhibits. Complimentary badges will include name AND position/title.
  • Email staff name AND position/title to zgersch@tmea.org.
  • Pick up badges at exhibitor registration.

Texas College Exhibitor Housing

To assist with exhibitor booth move-in, TMEA will allow Texas Institutional Members to reserve up to two hotel rooms through the exhibitor housing portal. A link to the TMEA official housing reservation site is included in your Institutional Membership confirmation email received after you complete an exhibit contract. This gives your institution the opportunity to secure rooms before general housing opens to TMEA members. TMEA will monitor reservation data, and any additional rooms reserved beyond the two-room limit via the exhibitor housing URL will be canceled.

Out of State Institutions

Each out-of-state institution MUST become a Sustaining Member of TMEA.

  • This membership ($75 dues) will be added automatically be added to the booth application.

Complimentary Badges

  • Three (3) complimentary badges are included with your booth. Additional badges may be purchased for $30 each.
  • Badge name form will be available in January.
  • Pick up badges at exhibitor registration under your institution’s name.

Out of State Exhibitor Housing

A link to the TMEA official housing reservation site is included in your Sustaining Membership confirmation email received after you complete an exhibit contract.

College Reunions

TMEA publicizes a list of Friday night College Reunions in the convention schedule. To be included in that list, email your college reunion location to Kay Vanlandingham by November 1 for inclusion in the official convention program.
