Course Description
The mountain of responsibilities for music educators is never ending, but don’t be petrified! Charnele Pendarvis-Romero explores how directors can use daily rehearsals to build their ideal choral program. In this course, she covers rehearsal techniques, building program culture, and director self-care through the journey. The focus is geared toward directors building a new choral program, rebuilding a choral program, or reflecting on their classroom management and program goals.
About the Presenter
Charnele Pendarvis-Romero is in her eleventh year of teaching, serving as a member of the Vocal Faculty at the Kinder HS of the Performing and Visual Arts in Houston ISD. Pendarvis-Romero earned her Bachelor’s in Music Education from the University of Houston and completed her Master of Education in Teacher Leadership program at Lamar University. Pendarvis-Romero is a member of TMEA and Sigma Alpha Iota. She is an active choral clinician, consultant, and wellness coach in Houston.
